Ever heard of the wordpress screen options? After publishing my first ebook called “The WordPress Plugin Process: Explained Super Easy” I have decided to continue to explain easily and in-depth visually the wordpress Screen Options.

Before starting, what does it mean Screen Options? Like its name, the meaning is that these options control from the available options what different elements are seen or hidden on the screen.
WHERE TO FIND THE SCREEN OPTIONS BUTTON
Opening the Dashboard you will see a top black bar. It will first says on the far left, the words of the website, in our case Sample. On the far right side is says Howdy, with the user name. Below that are the screen options.
These options are hidden by default and are revealed by clicking on the white Screen Options button. They can be hidden again by again clicking on the white Screen Options button.
PLEASE NOTE: The options seen when the Screen Options are shown can be different on EACH PAGE. Also, the Screen Options button will NOT be seen on some pages – e.g. on the sub pages under Settings on the black left menu showing on the Dashboard.
ALSO, when some plugins are added into wordpress, they sometimes also add more options that could appear in the Screen Options. However, these will not be dealt with here.
SCREEN OPTIONS FOR THE DASHBOARD
Clicking on the white Screen Options button reveals a new white section that comes down into view.
This new area says the word Boxes and all the different options are checked. This means that all these listed boxes are revealed on the Dashboard. Looking on the page of the Dashboard below the Screen Options button shows these different boxes.
